PHRC November Calendar

Hey gang,  Looks like November is arriving in buckets.  Lots of rain on the way.  Try to stay on the dry side of the door, if you can..........Saturday the 3 starts with the “Young Eagles” free airplane rides for kids at the Crittenden County airport at Marion.  The day starts at 9:00 AM.  We plan to have a table there for the club to promote ham radio.  This is a very worthwhile endeavor.  I would like to see several of us go and participate..........Reset your clocks on Saturday night, too..........The MOST IMPORTANT thing to do this month comes on the sixth.  GO VOTE.  DO NOT FAIL. ..........Remember our Veterans everyday, especially on the 11th...........Come out to the EOC on the third Saturday for our monthly ARRL VE Test Session.  We get ready to go between 9:30 and 10:00............We may have to reschedule the business meeting on the 20th.  The NWS will have their Winter Weather Workshop in Grand Rivers.  All the latest info AND buffett.  No way to argue with that.............Happy Thanksgiving on the 22nd from all the folks in the Princeton Ham Radio Club..........One more thing.  Our annual Christmas Dinner will be held at the Majestic Steak House Restaurant on Friday, December the 7th, at 5:00 PM.  Come fancy if you like, festive works, too.  Any help or suggestions on decorations would be greatly appreciated.  There should be a presentation or two at the party.  Come on out and join in the festivities..........Thanks to all who attended the Fall Family Fish Fry this year.  A very special ‘Thank You’ to all who helped.  Jean, Jerry, and Benny get a big pat on the back..........See you soon and 73..........

How The Princeton Ham Radio Club Started

In 1977 the "Princeton Amateur Radio Society" began.  It is now "Princeton Ham Radio Club" The club has gone through many changes during this time and is now a growing group.  W4KBL was the callsign of James L. Linton (SK), a respected ham and Elmer to many in this area. We are honored to have his call as Princeton Ham Radio Club's own. Our repeater is located close to Hwy 62 and the Caldwell Co., Lyon Co. line. Our VHF repeater transmits on 145.23 MHz and a tone of 179.9 Hz. We have added a new UHF repeater and is located at the Princeton Vocational School, 444.175 with a PL of 123. All who are licensed are welcomed to use them.
We have several activities including: volunteer testing , ham classes, service to our community where ever it is needed, programs within the club to further learning and training
